Indusha Yerramsetti
Indusha is the Head of Student Acquisition at TYBR. Her role involves designing and executing strategies to identify, engage, and convert potential students into clients. She works closely with both the marketing and counselling teams and plays an active role in building partnerships with schools, independent counsellors, and education platforms to expand TYBR’s reach. Her goal is to help students and their families navigate the university application journey with clarity and confidence.
Education and Professional Background
Indusha earned her bachelor’s degree in Communication with a minor in Public Relations from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), graduating with a perfect 4.0 GPA. She was on the Dean’s List every semester and received University Honors, the highest academic distinction for undergraduates. As part of this recognition, her name is inscribed on a Bronze Tablet displayed in the University Library. She also received the Wayland Maxfield Parrish Award, given to the graduating senior with the highest GPA in the Communication major.
She completed her schooling at Oakridge International School, Gachibowli, under the IB curriculum. There, she served as Student Council President, was awarded a merit scholarship, and twice earned the title of CAS valedictorian.
Why Study Abroad?
Indusha’s journey into the study abroad space began with her own experience as a student. When she was in 11th grade and ready to apply to universities, she quickly realised there was no real guidance available in Hyderabad. With no one to turn to, she took charge of the entire process herself--researching, shortlisting, and applying to universities without any professional support. It was a challenging but eye-opening experience that gave her a deep understanding of how the system works. Her efforts paid off when she was admitted to strong universities. A few years later, she helped her younger brother through the same process, leading to similarly successful outcomes.
While studying at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, she found herself helping friends, cousins, and even friends of friends with their applications. What started out as casual advice soon became something she genuinely enjoyed and took seriously. She remembered how difficult it had been to figure things out on her own and wanted to make it easier for others.
Her time at UIUC played a big role in shaping who she is. Living abroad pushed her to grow in ways that extended well beyond academics. She learned how to manage her time, take responsibility, and make independent decisions. It gave her confidence, broadened her perspective, and helped her become more resilient--qualities she believes every student should have the chance to develop.
That’s what motivates her to work in this space. She believes that an undergraduate education abroad can be truly life changing. The exposure, the independence, and the opportunities it brings can transform a young person’s future. For her, it’s not just about getting into college--it’s about helping students build the kind of life they want for themselves.
Personal Interests
Outside of work, Indusha enjoys watching movies and listening to music, especially Indian movies and music. She has a strong interest in fashion, from clothes and bags to everything in between, and loves discovering new styles. She also enjoys travelling, spending time with her friends, and recently started doing Pilates, which she’s thoroughly enjoying.
